What Does a Website Designer Do?

A website designer helps turn your ideas and business requirements into a website that's clear, useful and easy for customers to navigate. The work can cover much more than how a page looks, including how the site is structured, how it works on phones and what happens after launch.

As a freelance designer, I handle the design and development of the websites I build and can continue looking after them once they're live.

My work typically involves discussing the brief, planning the layout, designing the pages and developing a responsive website. I also help with practical matters such as forms, content management, launching the site and arranging hosting and support afterwards.
